UJAMAA GRANDMAS works in Calgary, Alberta, as part of the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign, to raise funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Our Founders started small but had big ambitions and our contributions continue to grow each year and with each event. To the end of 2019, proceeds from our fundraising events and direct donations have enabled us to contribute more than $1,456,445 to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
The following history of donations to the Foundation includes money directly from UJAMAA
GRANDMAS Sales, Collections, General Events, Special Occasions, Stride and money from
individual donors including Monthly Giving, Securities, In Memory/In Honour, Holiday Tributes and money from Kazuri Jewelry sales. These numbers also include donations made by the group before the name UJAMAA GRANDMAS was made official.

DIRECT DONATIONS TO THE FOUNDATION
The Stephen Lewis foundation will issue a tax receipt for your donation and the Foundation keeps track of donations generated by our efforts via the UJAMAA GRANDMAS’ donation number 77832. By including this donation number, UJAMAA GRANDMAS will be recognized as responsible for the donation and these donations will be credited to our total funds raised.
THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO DONATE DIRECTLY TO THE FOUNDATION:
1. Issue a cheque made out to Stephen Lewis Foundation and send it to STEPHEN LEWIS FOUNDATION, 260 Spadina Ave, Suite 50, Toronto, ON M5T 2E4. Please indicate if the donation is personal or corporate and include the name UJAMAA GRANDMAS and our Charity Affiliation number 77832.

2. Donate online at this link. At the bottom of the on-line donation form you will be asked if you are part of a Grandmothers group. Please be sure to check YES and indicate UJAMAA GRANDMAS and include our Charity Affiliation number – 77832.
