RESPECT FOR UJAMAA GRANDMAS VOLUNTEERS We enjoy getting together. We like the work that we do and feel that there is a sense of purpose as well as a sense of fun. We feel that we are helping the broader community of African Grandmothers at the same time that we are helping other people here in the city. Through our efforts to raise money for the Stephen Lewis Foundation, we are also supporting each other. We are committed to the values of respect, patience, open- mindedness, compassion and kindness.

Handcrafts Committee Custodians Handcrafts Committee is looking for two new product custodians to join the team. We need someone to take charge of the Children’s toys and another person to join the Knitted and Crocheted Accessories Team. The role of a custodian involves gathering and storing the items made by our members and brought to the gatherings throughout the year. They attend our Handcraft Committee meetings on the first Monday of each month on Zoom, keeping the committee informed and sharing the types of items collected. At the time of the sale, they organize and manage that area of the sale. We would love to have new members bring their love of handmade treasures and organizing skills to join us.
